Question 1

What does Make It Responsive do?

Accepted Answer

It adapts an existing Figma design for other screen sizes. Select a frame, pick a desktop, tablet or mobile size, and the plugin resizes the frame and adjusts its layout to fit, so you spend less time resizing by hand.

Question 2

How do I use it?

Accepted Answer

Select the frame you want to adapt and open Plugins → Make It Responsive. On the Resize Screens tab, choose a device and model, then click Apply the Size. The plugin resizes the selected frame itself, so duplicate it first if you want to keep the original size. Then refine alignment and details where needed.

Question 3

Which screen sizes can I use?

Accepted Answer

Choose from presets for desktop, tablet and mobile, including common iPhone and Android sizes, or set custom breakpoints for the exact dimensions your project needs.

Question 4

Does my design need to use Auto Layout?

Accepted Answer

No. The plugin can add Auto Layout to designs that don't already use it, which gives you a cleaner structure to refine.

Question 5

Will the new layouts be perfect?

Accepted Answer

Treat them as a strong starting point. The plugin takes care of the repetitive resizing; you may still want to fine-tune alignment and details, especially in complex designs.

Question 6

Does it export code or build websites?

Accepted Answer

No. Make It Responsive works entirely inside Figma. It adapts your design files; it doesn't generate code or publish anything.

Question 7

Do my designs leave Figma?

Accepted Answer

No. Everything happens inside Figma. The plugin doesn't send your designs to any server, and it doesn't collect analytics of its own.

Question 8

Is there a free plan?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The free plan includes 50 responsive inputs every month.

Question 9

What counts as a responsive input?

Accepted Answer

Each time the plugin turns a frame into another screen size, that's one responsive input. For example, adapting one design to desktop, tablet and mobile uses 3.

Question 10

What's the difference between Pro and the one-time purchase?

Accepted Answer

Pro is $7.99 a month and includes 5,000 responsive inputs each month. The one-time purchase is $59, paid once, for unlimited responsive inputs.

Question 11

Can I get a refund?

Accepted Answer

Yes. If a paid plan isn't right for you, email hello@makeitresponsive.co within 7 days of purchase.

Question 12

How are payments handled?

Accepted Answer

Payments are processed by Bachs. Prices are in US dollars.
